For agents and developers

Trading calculations your agent can explain.

Give your assistant fee-aware position sizing, net risk/reward, and performance analysis. Free, read-only tools with clear inputs and results you can check.

One endpoint. No account setup.

Ask a question with the inputs that matter

For position sizing, provide your account balance, chosen risk percentage, entry and stop. Include actual fee rates when they matter. The server derives direction and returns quantity, notional, planned loss, and optional target metrics in one call.

“Size a linear BTC/USDT trade for a 10,000 USDT account at 1% risk. Entry 100,000, stop 95,000, target 110,000. Entry fee 0.02%, stop fee 0.05%, target fee 0.02%. Show the assumptions.”

The result includes a link where you can inspect the inputs and recompute the same result in your browser. The agent should report assumptions alongside the numbers.

Built for a specific calculation

RiskReward supports linear quote-margined instruments. It uses your inputs and does not fetch exchange fee schedules, predict prices, size inverse contracts, estimate liquidation, or place orders. A stop price describes a scenario, not a guaranteed fill.

The calculation functions are shared with RiskReward’s public calculators where the calculations overlap. The API reference documents formulas, number precision, fee units, and null results.

Free access and data handling

No API key, paid plan, or RiskReward account is required. The service does not read your journal or exchange account. It computes the supplied numbers without storing calculation inputs or results in a database. Operational logs record tool names, outcomes, and timings; hosting infrastructure may retain request metadata.

Reproduction links embed inputs in the URL fragment. Treat them as shared data: anyone with the full link can inspect those numbers. Large trade batches return no embedded link. See our privacy policy.

Common questions

Can I use it with Claude Code, Codex, or VS Code?

Use a client that supports remote Streamable HTTP MCP servers. We provide connection examples for those clients. Client availability, trust prompts, and organization policies still apply.

Will my agent automatically use it?

You or the agent’s developer must connect and enable the server. The agent then chooses from the tools available to it. Publishing a server does not install it into every assistant.

Can I call the calculations without MCP?

Yes. The same three calculations are available as documented JSON POST endpoints, with an OpenAPI specification.

Does a missing fee input use the exchange’s default?

No. Omitted fees are explicitly treated as zero and produce a warning. Supply your actual rates to include fees.
