Test the choice with your own trades
1. Reconcile one closed trade
Use a real trade with known entry and exit fees. Compare its final net P&L with the exchange statement. Check whether the displayed R denominator is the initial planned risk, price-distance risk, or another convention.
2. Trace a changed position
Use a trade with a partial close and a moved stop. Determine whether you can explain the difference between the original plan and the final result without reconstructing it in a separate spreadsheet.
3. Test the capture path
Confirm your broker, account type, and symbol are supported. A long list of integrations is less useful than a clean import of your specific executions. Check duplicates, timezones, and fee currencies.
